Players in the field- 66
Spots Available- 5 to 8
Robert MacIntyre- The Scot’s first full season on the PGA Tour started out pretty rough, but he seems to have righted the ship lately. In his last five events he has two top-10s, including a T8 at the PGA Championship. He currently sits 75th in FedEx Cup points. MacIntyre has played in just two U.S. Open’s, the last in 2021.
Stewart Cink- The former Open Champion looks to qualify into his fourth consecutive U.S. Open at age 51. Cink has played both PGA Tour and Champions Tour events this season. He has made four of seven cuts on Tour and has four top-10s in just five starts on the Champions Tour.
Camilo Villegas- The five-time PGA Tour winner won for the first time in nearly 10 years at the Bermuda Open late last year. As many people know, Villegas lost his 22-month old daughter in 2020 to brain and spine tumors. The win in Bermuda came as Villegas had lost almost all of his status and was signed up for the second stage of Q-school.
Charley Hoffman- The 47-year-old has played well at times this year, including a playoff loss at the Waste Management Open. The four-time PGA Tour winner also had a T4 at the opposite-field event in Punta Cana. Hoffman played the U.S. Open last year at LACC and made the cut.

Hayden Springer- A Monday Q favorite, Springer is one of the best stories in golf. He has struggled at times this season and a start in the U.S. Open would help on many fronts.
Stuart MacDonald- It is really weird to say that MacDonald is one of the favorites to get through, but he is. In the last 18 months, MacDonald has won on the Asher Tour, Canadian Tour, Americas Tour, and Monday Q’d for a PGA Tour event. There he finished T24. It would be no surprise to see him get through here and play well at Pinehurst. He’ll be competing in this week’s RBC Canadian Open.
Alex Gaugert- Gaugert Monday Q’d for the 3M this year and was paired with Erik Van Rooyen, who also happens to be his boss. Gaugert is the full-time caddie for Van Rooyen and was his teammate at the University of Minnesota. The two were also close with former teammate Jon Trasamar, who lost his life to cancer late last year right after Van Rooyen and Gaugert won on the PGA Tour.
