We continue our series on players in the Bahamas Golf Classic, the first Korn Ferry Tournament of the 2025 season. Today, we look at players who find themselves back on the Korn Ferry Tour after having PGA Tour status.

Part one here (rookies)

Part two here (KFT veterans)

Part three here (most decorated players)

Justin Suh

Age: 27

Turned Pro: 2019

College: USC

Justin is one of the most respected and well-liked guys on the Tour. He's also very talented, which makes his return to the Korn Ferry Tour a surprise.

In 2023, after graduating from the KFT the previous year, Suh played 35 events, made 29 cuts, and had four top-10s. That season, he rose to as high as 64th in OWGR and seemed to be headed towards a PGA Tour win.

However, golf happened, and Suh struggled in 2024, making just 12 of 29 cuts with just three top-25s. He finished 165th in points and will return to the KFT for the first time since 2022.

Suh had a great 2022 season on KFT. In 24 events, he made 21 cuts, and had TEN top-10s, including a win and a runner-up.

In 2021, Suh received a sponsor's exemption to the Farmers Insurance Open. He made the cut and donated half of his check to the tournament's charities, despite not having any status on a major tour at the time. The tournament director said he had never seen that before.

It will be no surprise to see Suh play well this season and return to the PGA Tour in 2026.

Wilson Furr

Age: 26

Turned Pro: 2021

College: Alabama

Seven events into the 2023 KFT season, Furr was struggling. In his eighth event and last guaranteed start, Furr shot a second-round 67 to seemingly make a very important cut. However, he and the two other players in his group had taken a cart ride between tees on what they thought was an official tournament shuttle.

Unfortunately, it wasn't one of the holes where players were allowed to take a ride, and it resulted in a two-stroke penalty, causing Furr to miss the cut. It looked like his season was in serious jeopardy.

In the next event, Furr snuck into the field on his number very late in the week. With his season hanging in the balance, he went on to finish T7. The finish earned him a start the following week, where he finished runner-up. Those results allowed him a full schedule for the rest of the season, which he took advantage of.

The former University of Alabama standout finished T6 or better in three of his last five events and went on to finish 24th in points, locking up his PGA Tour card for 2024.

Unfortunately, Furr struggled on the PGA Tour last season, making just seven of 25 cuts and finishing 197th in points. The finish guarantees him just the first four starts on KFT. That means he will need to play well to set up the rest of his season. .

Peter Kuest

Age: 26

Turned Pro: 2020

College: BYU

"They are a better Tour player" is a saying that gets tossed around too often. The saying means that some players were built for the tougher courses and setups on the PGA Tour. For Peter Kuest, that’s very accurate.

The former BYU standout nearly Monday Q'd his way to a PGA Tour card in 2023. This included a T4 finish at the Rocket Mortgage after a Monday qualifier. The finish helped Kuest secure special temporary membership for the season. Despite making ten cuts in 15 events and having five top-25s, Kuest fell just ten spots shy of securing a PGA Tour card.

His stellar showing in the 2023 season did secure 2024 status on KFT. Coming off such great play on the PGA Tour, it seemed like a formality that Kuest would secure one of the 30 PGA Tour cards available at the end of the season.

However, Kuest struggled mightily, making just seven of 19 cuts with two top-25s. The struggles got so bad that the 26-year-old found himself outside of KFT fields. So, he turned to PGA Tour Monday Q's and again found success.

At the Valero Texas Open in April, Kuest successfully Monday Q'd and once again played well, finishing T10 and earning himself a spot in the Dominican. There, he again played well and finished T-9.

He then returned to the KFT and the struggle. He went on to finish 135th in points and lose his KFT status. At Second Stage of Q-school, Kuest missed advancing to the final stage.

The good news is that Monday Q's once again helped him retain status. The two top-10s were enough non-member points to finish in the top 200 of FedEx points. That meant that Kuest was guaranteed the first four starts on KFT to begin the 2025 season despite missing at Q-school.

Now, Kuest must find a way to play well on KFT so he can earn full status on the PGA Tour. He has proven his ability to play well over the last two seasons.
