On day three of our Bahamas Classic at Atlantis Paradise Island field preview, we highlight the most accomplished players in the field. With the changes coming to the PGA Tour in 2026, I think we will see many more veteran PGA Tour members play full-time schedules on the KFT.

Day one of the preview here

Day two of the preview here

Nick Watney

Age: 43

Turned Pro: 2003

College: Fresno State

Watney proves that more conditional PGA Tour guys will commit to a full KFT schedule for the 2025 season, knowing it’s their best path to earn a full Tour card. Watney’s last KFT start was a win….7,371 days ago. The start in the Bahamas will be his first since he won the Nationwide Tour Championship (two title sponsors ago) .

Watney has five PGA Tour wins and is just six starts away from 500. His last win came at the Barclays in 2012, which was a playoff event at the time. That season, Watney made 23 of 26 cuts, including 12 top-25s and five top-10s, and finished fourth in points. He also won again in Asia after the playoffs at the CIMB Classic, which wasn’t an official PGA Tour event then.

Back problems soon slowed his career, and in 2016, he played just five events because of a herniated disc. Since his return the following year, he hasn’t recaptured the success he had before the injury.

Last season, he played 13 PGA Tour events and made just three cuts, finishing 201st in points.

Sean O’Hair

Age: 42

Turned Pro: 1999

College: Turned pro after his junior year of High School

O’Hair is another multi-time PGA Tour winner approaching 500 career starts. The four-time winner currently has 435 career starts.

Like Watney, O’Hair has struggled at times with injuries, including a torn oblique that caused him to miss significant portions of two seasons. And like Watney, since his return from the injury, he has struggled to regain his earlier form. O’Hair hasn’t finished in the top 125 in points since 2018 when he finished 106th.

In 2005, the Texas native won the John Deere in his rookie season on Tour. That season, he made 24 of 29 cuts, had a runner-up, and made $2.5 million.

His last win came at the 2011 Canadian Open, where he beat Kris Blanks in a playoff.

In 2024, O’Hair played 13 PGA Tour events, making six cuts and finishing 195th in points. He also played 10 KFT events and finished T5 in his only made cut.

Cameron Champ

Age: 29

Turned Pro: 2017

College: Texas A&M

Just over two years ago, Champ finished in the top-10 at the Masters, and now he is back on the Korn Ferry Tour for the first time since his rookie season in 2018.

The three-time PGA Tour winner has struggled since his last win at the 2021 3M Championship. In the previous three seasons, Champ has finished outside of the top 125, including when the Masters was one of his top-10s in 2022.

In 2024, Champ played 26 events, making just seven cuts, had two top-25s, and no top-10s. He returns to the Korn Ferry Tour hoping to recapture some old magic. Still just 29 years old, there is plenty of time to return to the PGA Tour and win again.
